Registration & Accreditation

All delegates attending the Extra Ordinary Summit and preceding meetings will require prior registration and accreditation on the online platform (https://www.44thsadcsummit.gov.zw)

SADC EXTRA ORDINARY SUMMIT

Delegation Lists

Member States are requested to submit their official delegation lists to the Protocol and Conference Services Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade through a Note Verbale to hresadcprotocol@gmail.com no later than 15 November 2024.

Accreditation

Accreditation of delegations will be processed in person and electronically from 15- 17 November 2024 at:

  • Rainbow Towers Hotel; and
  • Hyatt Regency Meikles Harare.

Delegations are required to submit the name of a contact person responsible for the accreditation process of the whole delegation.

Official delegates will only be considered for accreditation when their names are submitted through Note Verbale. The  contact person from Member States should complete the online accreditation process before 15 November 2024.

All accredited delegates will be required to wear their accreditation badges, at all times in order to be allowed access to the venue.

For ease of identification of delegates, the following will be used:

  1. Bronze Pins for Ministers and Heads of Regional and International Organisations

Badges will also be issued according to the following  categories:

  1. Delegate
  2. Security
  3. Media
  4. Protocol
  5. Secretariat
  6. Services

Media Facilitation

Members of the media who wish to cover the SADC Extra Ordinary Summit and have access to the New Parliament Building and other areas accessible to media practitioners are required to be accredited through the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services on or before 8 November 2024.

Accreditation 

Accreditation of Local Media Practitioners
Media Practitioners already stationed and accredited in Zimbabwe who wish to cover the event should complete an online registration on the following website (www.sadczim.gov.zw) and indicate their valid Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) accreditation registration numbers on the relevant section of the online accreditation form.

NB: Media Practitioners can only register for the Summit and preceding meetings after accreditation with the Zimbabwe Media Commission through the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.  

List of media (photographic/audio-visual) equipment temporarily imported into Zimbabwe for Summit coverage duly-itemised on the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), “Application for Temporary Importation Privileges” (ATIP) form available on: www.zimra.co.zw under “Customs” and “Forms” respectively.

Media Centre
A Media Centre will be available at the New Parliament Building. Media practitioners will have at their disposal a working area with internet.

Requests for Interviews
The press attachés of each delegation may request the Organising Committee of the Extra Ordinary Summit to provide them with the telephone number they can use to request interviews. Such requests can be made beforehand or during the Summit to the SADC National Contact Point.

Official Photographers
Official photographers and cameramen are required to be accredited as media practitioners and not as delegates.
