The Parliament of the Republic of Zimbabwe is honored to host this significant event in the beautiful city of Victoria Falls from 31st May to 7th June 2025. As we gather to discuss the critical theme of harnessing Artificial Intelligence for parliamentary processes in the SADC region, we look forward to productive deliberations that will shape the future of our legislative institutions in the digital era.
The 57th Plenary Assembly provides a strategic platform for Parliamentarians to engage in high-level discussions, share best practices, and formulate policies that will shape the future of AI-driven governance in the SADC region.
The SADC TFCA International Conference and Summit will be held in Harare, Zimbabwe on 19-23 May, 2025 to celebrate 25 years of Transfrontier Conservation Area (TFCA) development since the first TFCA was created with Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The event will highlight progress, strengthen political commitment, and promote investment in TFCAs. The weeklong series of events will start on the 19 May 2025 with a TFCA International Conference until the 20 May 2025. On Wednesday the 21 May 2025, there will be a Senior Official for Environment, Natural Resources and Tourism on TFCA and the Joint Ministers meeting responsible for Environment Natural Resources and Tourism on Thursday, the 22 May 2025 there will be a SADC Council of Minister meeting on TFCA and the Heads of State Summit on TFCAs will be held on the 23 May 2025.
The Conference and Summit will be hosted by the Government of Zimbabwe, organised under the guidance of the SADC Secretariat and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union and others.
The upcoming 25th Anniversary TFCA International Conference and Summit aims to secure stronger political and financial commitments to sustain and enhance these achievements.
